You are purchasing a new CD of this product. This product is the full version and is new on CD.

Works with Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7.

Developed to offer an alternative to hullform definition programs based on NURB surface modeling. Most hull modeling packages use these parametric spline surfaces which can be very tricky to use.

Uses subdivision surfaces instead, which offer many advantages over NURB surfaces, such as:

No need for a rectangular control grid divided into rows and columns.
More freedom in modeling knuckle lines.

Surfaces can contain holes.

Even the most complex shapes can be created with just one surface.

The possibility to insert just one single control point.

It uses a mixture of Loop subdivision and Catmull Clark subdivision surfaces called quad-triangle subdivision. This enables the user to design the most complex surfaces with only one surface.

Control points can be added in areas only where they are needed. Holes, knuckle-lines and closed surfaces are easily incorporated.

The number of control points may be drastically reduced compared to classical NURB surface modelling.

Subdivision surfaces give the designer the freedom to design any shape, without having to bother about continuity issues typically encountered when two NURBS surfaces should join smoothly.

Add background images to easily reproduce an existing linesplan  Add controlcurves to the model to facilitate fairing of the surface.

Stations, buttocks, waterlines and diagonals are calculated from the 3D model and updated realtime when a controlpoint is changed. Visualize the curvature plot of intersecting curves to check the smoothness of the hull.

Locking and unlocking of controlpoints  Marker curves can be added to compare the hull to other lines (for example from offsets)

Different parts of surfaces can be assigned to layers, each with it’s own color and properties. These layers can be temporarily hidden from the user by turning them off.  3D scaling, moving and rotating (part of) the model.

Automatic hullform transformation according to Lackenby to match a desired displacement and longitudinal center of buoyancy while maintaining fairness.  Mirror selected faces in a 3D oriented plane.

Adjustable precision by controlling the subdivision level.  Align points to form a straight line.

Modify the location of points manually, by mouse or with the arrow keys.  Import and export parts of the design to part files.

Find the intersection curve of two layers  Wizard to quickly define a keel or rudder
Add cylindrical surfaces.

Visualize flowlines along the hull Split bodyplan view.

Automatic generation and formatting of linesplan, either as a traditional wireframe drawing or a combination between a wireframe and shaded view.

Check layers for developability.

Unfold developable layers to flat panels. Hydrostatics based on surfacepanels rather then ordinates.

Hydrostatic coefficients based on project dimensions or actual dimensions of submerged hull Display hydrostatice features such as metacentric height and the curve of sectional areas inside the model. These are updated in real time when the model is changed.
Calculate crosscurves or KN sin(ø) curve Metric or imperial units.
Automatic correction of face normals. An Integrated shading engine provides stable software rendering without the need for 3rd party software or dll's.
Show discrete Gaussian curvature of the surfaces to check the fairness. Zebra stripe shading to check model fairness
